Wright Twins at the Right Time

Our Story

Ava and Emma Wright were born in June of 2014 in Provo,UT and are the youngest in our family. They have two older brothers ages 11 and 7 years old who love them VERY much!

When we received their diagnosis in utero we didn't know what to expect for their future and honestly the unknown was very overwhelming. We found out when we met with the geneticist how rare it was to have identical twins with down syndrome, more so because they were girls! We thought what are they going to be like, who will they look like, what health challenges were they going to face, what are they going to be capable of? The list went on and on of endless what if's.

All of these unknowns weighed on our minds as we prepared for our sweet girls arrival. The one thing that was certain is the assurance of what a blessing it would be that they would have each other to go through this life together and that they would have many people that would love them and be there for them.

After 6 weeks on bed rest for me, the girls were born at 32 weeks and 2 days(8 weeks early) our girls came to our family at the RIGHT time and our greatest gifts had finally arrived and what a beautiful journey it has been! Ava and Emma have blessed our lives IMMENSELY. Words cannot express how much more our hearts have grown because of the love we have for them!

Ava and Emma make us laugh and amaze us every single day! We have learned to slow down and smell the roses and they let us know when they are ready to do something on their own time. We do not limit them in what they can do and we will always give them the opportunity to do what ever they desire to do. Nothing is unreachable for them.

We love seeing their personalities develop as they grow, each sweet and sassy in their own little way and loving to everyone they meet with open arms!

Our girls have been our greatest joys in the recent years for our family. They have changed our views and opened our eyes and hearts for the better. When I think back on receiving their diagnosis I can honestly say I wouldn't change a thing and I would have told myself that everything is going to be just fine. I am reminded on a daily basis how lucky I am to be Ava and Emma's mother. I know they are going to have much to offer the world as they grow older and can't wait to see what they will accomplish because the sky is the limit!

We want to invite you to join us in celebrating the joy our girls bring into our life on JUNE 1st 2019 for the annual 'Walk With Angels'.

Much love to you all for your support in our family's journey,

Love The Wright Family
